of agricultural contracting
latest technology & equipment
In the early years, our focus was on direct drilling, conventional hay making, round baling, square baling, and producing balage with a large square baler in stacks covered with tarps before plastic wrapping became the industry standard. As agriculture evolved, so did we. We have continually embraced new technology, invested in modern equipment, and expanded our services to meet the changing needs of our clients.
Today, under the leadership of third-generation owner Matt McClintock, McClintock Contracting has grown into a diverse agricultural contracting business servicing farmers throughout Southland. Our services include cultivation, direct drilling and precision sowing, silage harvesting, baling and wrapping, slurry application, cartage, earthworks, and gravel supplies. Whatever the job, we provide reliable, professional solutions backed by decades of practical experience.
Why Farmers Choose McClintock Contracting
As farmers ourselves, we understand the challenges our clients face. We know that weather, timing, costs, and seasonal pressures can make all the difference. That’s why we take pride in being dependable, communicating openly, and working alongside our customers to achieve the best possible outcome. While our equipment and technology have changed significantly over the years, the values our business was founded on remain the same—honesty, quality workmanship, reliability, and building long-term relationships.
Today, the fourth generation of the McClintock family is already growing up around the business. While they’re still young, they represent the future of a company built to serve Southland for generations to come. We remain committed to investing in our people, embracing new technology, and continually improving the services we provide.
We are also proud to support the communities that support us. Whether it’s sponsoring local schools, backing community projects, supporting local bike tracks, or contributing to local sports clubs and events, we believe in giving back and helping our rural communities thrive.
Whether we’re in the paddock, on the road, or on-site, our goal is simple: to deliver quality work, dependable service, and results our customers can trust.
